Tripura is all set to get a science village; Rs. 68 cr to be spent by the govt.


Tripura is all set to get a Science Village of its own. It will aim to spread knowledge about science to different sections of the society. 12.84 acre land is also planned to to be allocated by the state govt. for the construction of this science village.

“The plan is almost finalized. Rs. 68 cr wiil be spent by the govt. for the construction of the science-village and Rs. 27cr. will be spent for the construction of the main building.The science village will spread knowledge about science with visual display. There will be details about water world, universe, weather, planetarium. etc.” Said a government official while addressing the media.

Minister of Science and Technology Sudip Roy Barman will be the Incharge of the Science and Technology part whereas CM Biplab Kumar Deb will take care of the environment part.
