Dibrugarh police on Monday captured Sonitpur region transport officer (DTO) Prasenjit Kumar Ghosh for professedly getting his activity through unreasonable means amid the residency of Rakesh Kumar Paul as Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) administrator.
Ghosh was captured by Dibrugarh police from Tezpur regarding the APSC money for-work trick. Ghosh was before on March 7 barbecued by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Assam Police for his affirmed inclusion in the coal trick.
Ghosh, who was prior posted as Kamrup (metro) area transport officer (authorization), was exchanged as Sonitpur DTO on March 11 after his name sprung up in the trick.
Dispur MLA Atul Bora requested his evacuation, claiming his part in the trick.
Bora advised journalists that he had kept in touch with boss clergyman Sarbananda Sonowal about Ghosh’s “inclusion” in the unlawful accumulation of an immense measure of cash from over-burden coal trucks, making loss of income the state exchequer.
The CID had addressed Ghosh regarding the seizure of two trucks over-burden with coal at Basistha in Guwahati on February 1. The trucks had figured out how to cross the vehicle division checkpoint at Khanapara undetected.
